Research Interests

My research interests include general ecology and soil science. Particularly I am interested in wetland environments, where I performed most of my undergraduate degree and postgraduate activities. In wetlands of the arid and semiarid areas, where the grazing activity is added to the climatic adversities, I studied C and N cycling (biogeochemistry). At present I approach the subject of climate change, evaluating the effects of open-top passive warming chambers on soil respiration, C cycling, and GHG’s in meadows of the semi-arid steppe in Patagonia (post-doc).

Lines of interest

  • General ecology
  • Soil science
  • Ecology of wetlands in arid and semi-arid areas
  • Carbon sequestration. Greenhouse gases. Climate change
  • Water dynamics on Patagonian meadows
  • Biogeochemistry (water and soil) of arid and semi-arid wetlands
  • Identification of indicators of status in soil and water of Patagonian meadows
