Research Interests

I did my PhD in the FNRS-project Forsedco at the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium. The title of my work is "The significance of particulate nitrogen erosion for N availability in tropical forests in the Congo Basin". The objectives of my research was to quantify particulate nutrient export in first-order streams in different forests of the Congo Basin in the DRC and to assess different factors controlling these particulate nutrient losses and its significance to the nutrient availability of tropical forests.

For the duration of my PhD I was employed at UCL under the supervision of Prof. Kristof Van Oost but also worked at ETH Zürich in the Group of Prof. Johan Six.
