Research Interest

After a master thesis (at ETHZ) on the social side of climate change adaptation of agriculture in Ivory Coast, I pursued my research at the interface of agriculture and environmental sciences. My PhD research project focused on the sustainability analysis of food value chains in Switzerland. It was embedded in an EU research project called “Global and Local food chain Assessment: a MUltidimensional peRformance-based approach (GLAMUR)”. external pagewww.glamur.eu

My goal in my PhD thesis was to compare local and global food chains through case studies in the dairy and wine sectors in Switzerland. The performance of the chosen chains was assessed and compared through a system of indicators in the dimensions of environmental, economic, social, health and ethical sustainability.
