Research Interests

My PhD project "Environmental- economic analysis of Swiss farms at the product-group level" is part of the national research program "Sustainable Economy" of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF NRP73). The project’s goal is to integrate Life Cycle Assessment data with data from the Farm Accountancy Data Network (FADN) to analyze synergies and trade-offs between economic and environmental objectives at the product-group level. In the first part of my PhD, I will prepare production inventory data for the latest Swiss agricultural life cycle assessment (SALCA) methodology and calculate production costs from the accountancy data. In the second stage, I will analyze the joint dataset with regard to selected product groups, ecosystem services (ES) and direct payments. I am employed by Agroscope under the supervision of Dr. Thomas Nemecek. Prof. Johan Six is my doctoral thesis supervisor at ETH Zurich.
