Research Interests

In my PhD project “Local ecosystem dynamics and agri-food systems: a spatially explicit modelling approach to inform policy”, I aim at developing a spatially explicit model to map the nutrient flows and related environmental impacts of agricultural production as well as to account for local ecosystem dynamics and landscape heterogeneity. Building on this, I will develop land use scenarios to analyse trade-offs and synergies between agricultural land use, ecosystem services and biodiversity at landscape level. Through the combination of this model with a global mass-flow model, it will be possible to additionally consider geographical shifts of environmental impacts.
I work at FiBL Switzerland in the Department of Socio-Economic Sciences under the supervision of Dr. Adrian Müller. Prof. Johan Six supervises my PhD thesis at ETH Zürich.
